What TV show will get you out of a depressed mood? |
|
For me, "Red Dwarf" does it every time.
Just watched "Polymorph" - utterly brilliant stuff!

1. For me it's any show with Robin Williams doing standup comedy. |
|
Ain't no way I'm feeling bad after watching that.

I usualy get visions of Orwell's book 1984 when I see that show. The live pain and suffering of the poor should not be entertainment.

6. "Vengeance on Varos" becomes a reality. |
|
Well, it's a loose parallel (a society made indolent and unquestioning by watching other people, usually prisoners, suffer via forms of torture...)

37. Except for the last show of "Blackadder Goes Forth" |
|
When they all go "over the top". That history is just a bit too recent.
Generally, though, Blackadder & some other Brit comedies are the best.

15. It's my all time fave on Chappelle. I wasn't familiar with Wayne Brady |
|
before but some of my friends explained that he has a kind of clean cut, Cosbyesque showbiz persona, which makes the skit all the funnier, although I was kind of guessing at that while watching it.

18. He is on "Who's line is it Anyway" |
|
He had a variety show at night that was cancelled, and a daytime talk show that was cancelled, sadly.
He is sort of a male Bette Midler, he can do it all. Comedy, song, dance, acting. He is a rare breed, these days.

Family Guy will make you laugh your ass off too!

Nothing works for me that is on TV anymore. Especially at the minute. I am really depressed about finding out I have been laid off.
Usually a good action movie works wonders. It helps take my mind off stuff for a while. But not even this has been a good cure for the no job blues.
