Update on keying: My car is back and 100%!
A few weeks ago, I posted about some unknown jackoff who keyed my car, for no apparent reason other than the same reason some people climb mountains: Because it was there.

But a $100 deductible and 4 days at the body shop later, it looks as good as new again, and I hope that I can find a new place soon. Though I realize life doesn't come with a warranty. :-)

When I told the apartment complex manager about it, she just said in a pseudo-sympathetic sing-song voice, "Kids are awful!" :eyes:

How does she know it was kids? Could have been. Could have been a drunken pissant too. She is a flake anyway - probably in denial that vandalism could occur at her crappy complex. :P

Oh well, those of you who know what petty vandalism feels like when on the receiving end, understand. It isn't even near the end of the world, but it sure is irritating as all hell.

1. You were smart to have a $100 deductible for that.
Congratulate yourself! Most people have to pay $500 for something like that.

3. Geico customer for 21 years!
I was with them before they were publically available (used to be military and dependents/government employees)... so I have a low premium rate with high payouts/low deductibles and a good safety record.

I do realize I am lucky. The damage was calculated at $986!! :wow: I would have not liked paying $500.

4. Yes
Sometimes I read about DUers wanting to key cars with Bush stickers, and I think "WTF?" Yes, they piss me off too, but we just become more like them if we stoop that low.

If we can't beat them with the FACTS and REASON, then we shouldn't even bother. Keying = lack of ideas/intelligence.

That being said, I have no stickers on my car, and do not know any of my neighbors, so I chalk this up as random assholery.
