I saw the gay pride parade in OKC today!
I was driving to my office and saw all of these people all over the place getting ready to have a parade.

I did some work and then went to check it out.

There were various gay organizations and businesses pulling floats with pickup trucks with signs. Police escorts everywhere. Lots and lots of rainbow banners everywhere. Cross-dressers, too. And folks on scooters and motorcycles.

I sat in the reception area of my office and watched the whole thing go by. I wish I had my camera. The crowd lining the street was clapping and yelling the whole time. The Athiest group had a float, along with some car dealerships.

There were kids on bicycles in the parade and several people pushing baby strollers. The only bad thing is that I think I saw a sunburned kid being pushed in a stroller. I don't understand that.

Everybody was well behaved. That's good.

1. YAY! Great!
I went to Baltimore Pride last sunday with my dad. It's nice to see gay people loving out in public loving each other like God intended!

My fave pride was NYC in June 2000 with the gay youth group. The gay elders pointed out Stonewall!

3. I had no idea it was going to take place.
Otherwise, I would have taken my camera to get pics and share.

I was just going to do some work and was surprised with all of the activity.

Next year!

4. Were there any gay democrat groups represented?
What bugged me about Baltimore pride was NO Democrat booths. Libertarians, Greens, even Log Cabin Republicans...Wha happen?

5. The Gay Pride parades
were held all over the world and some were huge. The largest I believe was in Rio. Hillary showed along with other significant persons and the Mayor of SF but not the grovinator. There is a site for slides but don't remember where I found it.
