it's so hot and bush is in the doldrums, i am convinced they are cooking something up again on the scale of magnitude of 9-11.

7. Another 9-11 would destroy Bush. It would have to be something different |
|
Imagine a large bomb under the capital, though.
I'd put more money on them suddenly finding UBL. Bush needs a major success, not a failure.

9. I don't think it would |

All of the corporate news media would tell Americans that we have to rally round the flag & our war president and that it was Democrats blocking the energy bill and speaking out against Iraq that emboldened the terrorists to strike again.

roger roger on that one.
the sheeple are just sort of listless now, they are feeling vaguely "confused" and are losing their robust SUV patriotism.
the base is slipping and they are starting to ask why we are in iraq.

3. Shark attacks in the news |

was a couple of years ago in a year when shark attacks were actually down.
Last year was kidnapping hysteria in a year when kidnappings were down.

that shark attacks were the big story the summer before the airplanes hit the WTC in 2001.
bush was floundering (like he is now),
so i'm thinking the cabal in washington will pull some kind of nightmare out of their stinking asses and inflict it upon the american people in some way to distract attention from bush's true idiocy and mediocrity.
his entire misadministration has been an exercise in smoke and mirrors and distraction.

Though with the news stories in the past week it looks like they may be going for a double distraction this year, we've had shark attack and kidnapping stories. Next story is going to be sharks kidnapping people.
I'm not trying to make light of kidnapping it's just when the news hysteria hit on that last summer they made it seem like an epidemic when kidnapping numbers were actually down a decent amount.
