Time to give the dogs some Benadryl
Starting to get a lot of thunder outside. The vet says give her 2 Benadryl to calm her down. She's so thunderphobic, she hides in the shower, or wraps herself around my neck (85 Pounds), and her teeth are chattering. It's gonna be a long couple of weeks for her, with the 4th of July week-end coming up too.

The Fudd (135 pounds) just looks bewildered, like "If she's scared, should I be too"?

1. How much Benadryl can you give a 15-18 lb. dog?

And is it children's Benadryl or adult? Liquid or pill form?
My mini-pin could use something to calm her down from time to time.

3. I don't know
I use adult strength pills on the female (85 pounds). I'd ask your vet about a smaller dog.

My male doesn't get any, but he knows the biscuits and beggin strips are coming out next.

Right now, I'm trying to type with an 85 pound dog in my lap!!!

5. I know the feeling. I have 3 dogs. And they all try to
get in my lap at the same time. Two of them are 60 pounders and the other fluctuates between 15 and 18 lbs.

9. I have a 16 lb. poodle ...
and he suffers from allergies. The vet said I can give him one 25mg pill (the adult, pink and white capsule) every 12 hours. However, 1 pill every 24 hours usually takes care of his allergies. But ... it's best to call your own vet just to be sure. :-)

2. You're doping your dog?
Does PETA know?

Actually that's not a bad idea since Friday/Saturday night we had to barking, running, whining, cuddling dogs with us all night long!

7. Common recommendation for Pets for situations such as you mentioned
and for fireworks!

There is a table some where on the web for the conversion to weight and dosage.
