18. I'm liberal, but not liberal enough in your book

For one, I'm pro-life--across the board, which also means no death penalty except for the most vile (like the * regime); no war except as a last resort; no economic injustice; no abortions except if mom's life is in danger; no objectification of women; no racism, period!

My pro-life views, brought about by my own mom refusing to listen to the doctors and abort me rather than risk her life to give me a chance to be born, disqualifies me as a liberal and puts me in the category of right-wing fanatic :sarcasm:

I believe 'I' still would have existed, that the soul is separate from the physical and that the essence of me, that makes me, ME, always was, and always will be.

she had a very hard life, mostly due to lack of education and having a child to support at such a young age. She, of course, disagrees with me, and says her life is better because of me, that's what moms say. I think she just would have had 'me' later.

C'est la vie, funny how we come to our beliefs sometimes. Not trying to change your mind or anything, just thought I'd share.

Sometimes it IS too intense for some people.

We do not encourage racism or hatred, in fact, we prefer to analyze it at its source... by tearing apart the ones who spread it, along with there ignorance about the world..

Like I said.... We choose to call it BRUTAL HONESTY with WORDS OF CONVICTION and NOT stupidity and ignorance.

Debating things like the use of wiggar (sp?) language by a poster, who then felt the need to apologize for no other reason except harrassment. Maybe he wasn't strong-wille enough to hang, as one poster suggested, telling him never to apologize, stick to his guns, etc.

Is there any political debate, or is it all what sounds like kids taunting each other in the schoolyard? :)
