5. i LOVE the original
it burnt my brain at about age 8. i was in a room full of kids, all playing, and it was on but no one was really watching it, but me, and when kong burst through the wall, i froze in time.

i look forward to the new one, and totally disregard the jeff bridges one.

7. You got it! I'll take them both.
:toast: Looked more like a homage. Much better than the Jeff Bridges/Jessica Lange tripe.

I think Peter Jackson can now qualify as a minor diety.

6. That looked pretty amazing....
....although I'm having a hard time dealing with Jack Black in the Carl Denham role.

9. It looked as if he was doing a pretty good job... Jackson seems to know

what he's doing.

12. I think he can...
The role calls for somebody that can be flamboyant & cocky...

13. Incredible
As someone who can't stand Jack Black I was able to put up with him for about a minute in the trailer. When they got on the way to Skull Island you could just see this world coming to life.

I have been waiting for the '33 King Kong to come out on DVD as I still haven't seen it and just started contemplating whether I should see it before December. I believe a DVD is scheduled for release but I'm not 100% sure.

Very intriguing movie and definitely something I am excited to see.

15. I'm so there. I've loved King Kong since I was 4 years old.
I must have drawn a 1000 pictures of him atop the Empire State Bld...
