Would you feel sorry for this guy? |
|
I met a couple at a neighborhood shindig about a month ago and have seen them a few times since and have come to feel a certain amount of pity for the guy, although he IS an adult and thus chooses this, in a sense.
Ok, his wife will NEVER let him pick out his own clothes. She always picks out what he is going to wear, seven days a week.
It gets worse: they match. They wear MATCHING clothing. And all of it is red, white and blue American flag stuff.
He always has a look that says "Shoot me now."
But why doesn't he say something? There's no fucking way Mr. Bouncy would put up with that crap for ONE day. I'd try to tell him what to wear and he'd look at me like I was smoking crack and had grown three extra heads. We just don't tell each other what to wear.
So what, do you feel sorry for someone like that or figure well, he's an adult, why doesn't he do something about it?

LOL, that would be weird. |
|
Hey, I know I hardly know you guys, but your outfits crack me up so badly I want to post them on an internet message board with over 70,000 members, ok?
LOL. No I wouldn't say that, but I can't think of a casual way I could get a picture of them anytime soon. It's SO sad, seriously. And she just seems to love it. I have NEVER seen him smile. Not even a hint of a smile.

6. I'd feel sorry for the guy. |
|
Most adults wouldn't take that crap. But there are others who have been abused so long or controlled so long (I see that as 2 sides to the same coin) that they either don't know how to take control, don't know what to do, or just don't know any better. It's a sad truth. Many of these people really do love their abusive spouses but the love is so twisted that it's sad. I don't know. I'd definitely feel sorry for the dude.

She probably parts his hair and gives him one of those conservative comb-overs as well.

14. Sometimes my grandmother does that |
|
Before my grandfather got cancer my grandmother used to do that a lot. I remember about two/three years ago we were out camping and it was on a normal weekend and hardly anybody was around. My grandfather had on one of those undershirts and my grandmother had him put on a normal shirt. :eyes: She also patted his hair and stuff. Heh heh. That same trip my mom and I were going around the camp ground just to walk and it took my grandmother fifteen min's to get ready to leave. Why? She was putting on makeup.

10. My eleven-year-old won't even let me pick out his clothes. |

And I respect his (sometime godawful) tastes and let him dress however he likes.

I would, however, feel sorry for a double amputee.

be brave to speak up against his wife. He's a grown man for goodness sakes! His wife isn't his mother.
