5. Whaaaaa? It's "Sleater" not "Sleeter" |
|
Side brush-with-greatness note: I worked with Janet Weiss, the drummer, for a bit. Cool chick.

7. Sleater Kinney, the band |
|
is certainly far superior to Sleater Kinney Road. The latter may get you from Lacey to Olympia, but in the immortal words of Iggy Stooge, big fuckin' deal.
The new record sounds great.

11. Best live show I ever saw: S-K, in a living room in New Orleans, 1995 |
|
I was there, in some skater kid's living room, with maybe thirty other people, tops. Best show I ever saw...they rocked almost too hard.

The Woods is phenomenal, even though the first time I put it on I tore off my headphones because I was NOT expecting what I heard!
Saw them a few weeks ago at the Crystal Ballroom...yes they were great!

I wanted to go, but circumstances were against it, I'm afraid...It's a long story, I had been looking forward to it for quite awhile...Did you like it? However, to show my coolness quotient, I did see Wire there in the fall of 2003, and there weren't that many people there! It was a good show, even though I didn't know anything that they played except during the encore when they did "Lowdown" from Pink Flag...

21. I would agree with you... |
|
I saw Gong there several years back now ( with Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth, Bloom Didier, all except Steve Hillage) (and it really didn't matter, the guitarist had chops) and it was one of the best shows I've been to...The floor really made a difference for that one...
