No, seriously though, have I been away that long? I used to have friends at DU. Hmm, what to do, what to do...register at Free Republic instead, perchance?

On this wonderfully sunny Friday afternoon. Oslo is bathed in sunshine and a smashing 25 degrees Celsius, I'm off to play table hockey and drink beer in the sunshine after work, and Brazil are playing Argentina in the Intercontinental Cup final on the telly tonight!

3. well I can' t really say good morning

for once I am in Germany and it is 1.45pm and the other thing is I am not a cowboy. Hmmmm ... what to do?

Oh and I won't watch the game. It will be enough this afternoon to see those fans downtown Frankfurt.

6. Yup, it's nice here

Oslo city centre has just been renovated for the centennial celebrations (check my blog for reference) and looks adorable. Of course, now we have the annual tourist invasion and I have to run a slalom between tons of Japanese, American and German tourists on my way from the subway to work...

Try visiting the fjords in the west one time, they're insanely beautiful!

8. I know what you mean with the invasion

I lived for some years at the Lake Constance. Summer it was hell esp. driving. All those slow caravan drivers from the Netherlands drove me nuts. Esp. when I was in a hurry :eyes:

The fjords are definitely on the must-see-list.

Old, grey Germans, coming here in their caravans stocked with food and beer. They buy nothing here, dump their carbage and fecal matter here and go back home. Argh!

that is horrible. I don't understand why Germans can't behave in other countries. It is just embarrasing.

The younger ones are nice. I have some friends in the Köln/Bonn area and in Hamburg, they're great fun.

I hate cowboys, since anyone who claims to be one now is just a pretender. They only existed in the 1800's. But I'm so glad to see your thread, since it's been far too long. I was afraid that you'd abandoned us.

best of all, of course, he's nearly always happy. Although he's been having a period lately where he tries to cry his way into getting what he wants. It's just the age. Check the blog for more pictures at a later stage ;)

18. Good morning! It's all smiles here as...

...the start of the secondmost magic sports event in the world, the Tour de France, is imminent. Beaten only by the football World Cup I'm in gleeful anticipation of three weeks of watching the magnificent athletes grind their way up the Alps and the Pyrenees. Last night I inspiredly went for a long haul in my sexy racing bicycle and will notch up another 50 kilometres tonight.

Meanwhile, good morning to all and everyone! It's coming up to 3 pm here and the sun is shining!
