I need a cigarette again!!!!
Lately I've been smoking 1 a day...being good and not going overboard.

Except right now I'm working from home - and there are no co-workers to bum one off of....

ARRRRRGHHHH!!!

1. Chew gum, drink some coffee, walk around the block...
you can resist! I know it's tough. Have you tried the gum? It helped me during the initial cravings period. Hang in there!

5. When I felt the urge... One of my coworkers offered to gut punch me.
He said it has the same end result.

8. Smoking one a day? You may as well quit!
You're torturing yourself for no benefit! You are ensuring that you feel more or less constant withdrawal (if you quit totally it subsides after a couple of weeks), whilst at the same time enjoying none of the health benefits that quitting totally will bring. Go on, there is no point whatsoever in smoking one a day. Make the final step! You can do it!

9. You cannot smoke one a day... you remain addicted to nicotine.
I don't mean to sound absolute, but there it is. You cannot have one cigarette a day and expect the addiction to not get worse. I stopped for 8 years once... and why did I start again? One puff of one cigarette at one party... after a year... back to smoking regularly.

Smoking one a day is worse than going cold-turkey... you LIVE for the one cigarette and feel constantly deprived since you can't have another.

13th day without nicotine for me. ;)

14. It takes 14 days for nicotine
to leave your system completely. When you smoke that 1 you have to start that 14 day period all over again. If you want to be a non smoker--stop it!!!:spank:

15. Same for the Carbon Monoxide...
Which does much more harm to your circulatory system by blocking
off the oxygen carrying part of your red blood cells.

Takes a long time to finally reach normal levels.
