I've been wondering about other states. But this is Alaska, so it's gonna be higher and getting to be around $900.

Insurance pays 40-50%, so my share is $500-$600 (since I just happen to be going to the dentist today to have the new damn piece of porcelin inserted, I have these figures readily available!)

The STUDENT insurance plan I'm on now - which covers my ambulance ride up to the first three miles. Kinda like getting a tow from AAA. :eyes:
I'm talking about my REAL insurance plan, back when I had a REAL job :D

|
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 02:44 PM by Lydia Leftcoast
crown was applied to the cost of the permanent crown, and the whole thing, including three office visits, was $800. Ouch. Although it's nice not to have a tooth that's ready to split down the middle. That REALLY hurt.
ON EDIT: The work was finished earlier this month.

24. $280 for the Endo work, $500 for the actual Crown... |
|
And that's at the Dental School. "Open Market" pricing is about $700 for the Endo and $800 for the gold tooth.
But YMMV, since a report came out that the health industry screws the people in my locale more than anyone else in the state. No explanation.

(Cool dentist. But this was some years ago. The most recent ones have cost $800. And it depends on the material used.)

26. My metal ones were 100% covered by Delta |
|
I co-paid about $35 for each of the white ones-they are considered "cosmetic" by Delta, even though my dentist told me the materials cost less than the metal. It's worth $35 to have the teeth that are near the front to have the "cosmetic" treatment.

About $600 for an eye-tooth. That did NOT include the root canal or the post and reconstruction.

28. The crowns I got without insurance were about $700. |
|
That was in addition to the root canal, about $500-600.
I recently had a root canal done with my current insurance. That was a $100 copay; the crown will be a $75 copay.
