Has anyone thought about, Gawd forbid... |
|
Bush get elected in '04? What would you do? I've thought about packing up and moving to Denmark, but I love my job and family too much. I then thought I would get a bigger mouth than Rushie, get my own radio show and spout anti-rightwing stuff everyday. But then again, if he is elected, then I think that will be outlawed under Patriot Act 2. So what is our contigency plan? And more importantly, can America survive 4 more years of Shrub, especially since he won't be running for re-election? ARRRGHHHH.... my head hurts...

1. Why do you have so little hope? |
|
These are just men like you. Bush, Dean, etc.
Have hope. Pick one of our guys and work hard for them.
Remember they are no better than you. They are people like you. The difference in the many people who are running for the chance to be president from our party is unlike you they have hope. You never here them say they will leave the country. No they are smart enough to know what it is much better here. I am danish, you do not want to go there.
Have hope.

moving up to Canada in BANFF and live amongst the squirrels. I'd also live in a small shack and grow a large beard, much like that of Grizzly Adams. In all seriousness, if Shrub gets re-elected, I fear he may turn into "Big Brother." If that were to happen, I'll pack up my bus and anyone who wants to come with me to Canada may ride with me. :D I honestly think a Dem. will be the next president....I don't see Americans being dumb and re-electing that whacko. Remember the election between Bush1/Clinton? There is hope. :D

But elected... not re-elected... To be re-elected one has to be elected in the first place...

That means we need someone like Perot to waltz in. Perot took votes away from Bush at the time.
Clinton won, but with only 43% of the vote.
Perot, to us, was a godsend at the time.

I already have and I already do... I'm just thinking ahead... A second term is more or less a pass, no reason to hold back... just scary to think about is all...

6. A thought provoking question ... |
|
Some days, I'm optimistic and am sure that it will never happen. No one with an ounce of sense could vote for him.
Other days, I am depressed and fear people are brainwashed and will vote for him.
I'm afraid America cannot afford four more years with a mad man in charge. Even one more year is scary.

9. Say 2000 is 1968...what did prog movements do against Nixon? |
|
EXACTLY THE RIGHT THING. Bush has so much establishment maintaining his most outrageous lies, from 9/11 on...nothing but an all out counter-cultural movement will change the atmosphere and make it possible to expose and replace him. It must be done. It can be done. If we dedicate ourselves, it will be done.
I don't know for sure that Bush will be re-elected in 2004 like Nixon was in 1972. But I think our best bet is to realize that a counter-cultural movement can certainly remove this plague from our Earth, even if Bush wins an electronically rigged election in 2004, with most of our deceptive media still upholding many of his most outrageous lies.
Congressional Democratic canidates may be best able to find locally effective ways to use some of the counter-cultural ferment and widespread alienation which will certainly be quite culturally prominent by the 2004 election. It is very possible that Bush will be re-elected, but with a Congress more inclined to impeach him for his many impeachable offenses.
We won't be magically released from this crisis by a new Clinton. The globabl crisis and mass deception is far deeper than that this time around. ONLY A CULTURAL REVOLUTION CAN SAVE US. :hippie: :toast:
