Poll question: How often do you write a post, and then click 'BACK' on your browser? |
|
I'm wondering how often people write a post, and then decide it's inappropriate, or inflammatory, or whatever. I've found myself doing that a LOT lately.
So, tell us... how often do you 'change your mind' about what you were going to post here?
Don't be shy. We ALL think twice, now and again.

Sometimes I think it's cathartic to just write it in the most agressive style and get that adreneline out - but then I often either don't respond or I modify my words a bit. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

The problem is, if you post something nasty by accident, and don't catch how bad it was until later, well, you're stuck.
I don't much care for the one-hour limit. I think it ought to be extended some.
edited to add: Yes, I DID learn my lesson. I've been trying my level best to be good. :)

I've been a daily visitor longer than DU has had the 1000+ for post counts.
Written thousands, posted hundreds...
Usually, about half way through writing the comment, I decide that the person just isn't worth the time it would take for me to adequately explain why they are so very, very wrong...
Also, I'm kind of lazy.

7. I do catch myself correcting my own posts |
|
and then I think, "WTF? What's the point?" And then hit 'back'.
If it were a real button, it would need an R&R job.

9. That must come with age. |
|
I'm not old enough yet to not care about what falls outta my lips! ;)
And there, I did it myself, and then rethought the rethink to illustrate why I rethought the post. I just hit back, on this, and then 'forward'. HAH!
Twisted, huh? :D
