Responsibilities:
The web developer will work as part of a team responsible for new WEB application development and/or improving existing applications to meet the needs of our business stakeholders. Specific assignments may include:
- application design and technical specifications for the new projects and enhancements.
- coding for new product development, enhancements and bug fixes.
- design and development of large relational databases.
- unit testing and code review.
- may also lead small teams for a specific project.

Required Skills:

Hirin Criteria
Solid knowledge of OO application design principles, practices, systems development and analysis.
Prior experience using WEB technology.
Extensive experience working with large databases.
Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle.
Demonstrated experience using the programming languages, packages and software development tools specified.
Strong verbal and written communication skills that non-technical end users can understand.
The ability to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients.

Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3 plus years of experience in software development with latest WEB technologies.
• Thorough understanding of OO Design and practices.
• Deep understanding of C#, Java and/or C++, MS SQL.
• Proficiency with HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, ASP.NET, ASP.
• Familiarity with COM technology is desirable.
• Database experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferable.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment with other developers.
• Knowledge of Real Estate Property information systems / products is useful.

I have often thought DU should have a "jobs...employment op" forum

where the listing could stay up for as long as the original poster needed it. Lots of talent here willing to relocate and are certainly in the consideration phase for opportunities. I would like to see someone suggest this as a group forum to the admins. This is a great place to search for talent, just to hard to catch everyone at the same moment in time.

3. That's a good idea! I think you just suggested it.
I was reluctant to post this because I wasn't sure if this might be considered a for-profit type of thing that would be against the rules. But it isn't, at least not for me, and I see so many DU'rs talk about being out of work. I figured this might get at a least one good liberal back to work.
