What are some movies they cannot possibly remake
and ruin?

I would think Ben Hur or GWTW or Wizard of Oz (well maybe Ben Hur doesn't belong in that list but I don't think they could possibly manage a better chariot race.

1. Casablanca. I'd support an Amendment banning desecration of THAT.

3. Paper Moon, Cool Hand Luke, A Few Good Men,
The Jerk, A League of their Own. Hopefully no one will get the happy ass idea of remaking those classics.

4. Citizen Kane
Way too much in the film to even attempt duplication and no one could hold a candle to Orson's character.

11. Personally, I believed Willy Wonka was sacred
and COULD NOT be remade, or SHOULD NOT be remade.

I won't be seeing the new one despite my usual admiration for J. Depp's work.

12. Paths of Glory
Distribution was suppressed by the Pentagon the first time around. These days they wouldn't even be able to get the financing together to film it.
And you can add Johnny Got His Gun as well.

16. The Exorcist 1
The feeling of horror from scene to scene, Bladdy's camera work, the language, getting a kid to do all those nasty scenes, I can't see anyone pulling that off again.

21. SNL said JLo and Affleck were gonna remake "Casablanca"
said Tina Fey "This would be popular with people who like the original, but wished it could be really bad."

"Married with Children" did a spoof of "It's a Wonderful Life" with Sam Kineson as the angel showing what the world would be like if Al had never been born. I thought it was pretty funny.
