In my last 12 working days(not in a row, but yeah. :P) I've worked 110 hours.
No wonder I'm so tired.
Good news is.. I get paid every two weeks, so this will be my first pay check with my new raise, and most all of those hours... and I have tomorrow off.

I hope to one day not work so much... and maybe get two days off in a row. Yeah, that would be nice.
I'm not getting on AIM, you'll keep me up all night, and I want to sleep. :P

9. That works out to 9.1 hours a day. |
|
And I haven't had two days off in a row, for a couple weeks now(we're short handed, had some problem with employees, since it's a new business)
And it's just a shock to the system, since I had no job for two years before I found this job. :)

We've hired more people.
I would be cool if I could get two days off in a row, instead of one here, and one there.
At least I'm not the owners, they're there allllllll the time. :o But I guess that's how it is when you open a new business?

19. It's similar to working at a new business. |
|
I've been there, done that. You get called in constantly because they learn to trust just a few people. It'll change soon enough and you will be able to get a couple of days off.

or some kind of manager?
Okay, I got confused by that. A normal full-timer works 96 hours in 12 days. When I worked 12 hour shifts I would have had 144 hours in 12 work days, but that would cover 24 calendar days.

I work at a new business(A produce market and cafe), that lost four employees. Two were fired for stealing(Long damn story). One left to take of a sick mother, and another was let go.
So that left myself and three other people who were part of the original staff, but now we've hired more people and things are getting starightened out, but these last two weeks(which is when the shit hit the fan) have been insane. :o

In the average 12 day period I put in between 112 and 120 hours. Time off is a blessing when I get it.

My friend Mike does it too a lot of the time. I work two full-time jobs and he has one, but does lots of overtime when it's available. We're just "doing what we gotta do just to get by" as the song says.
