48. This for you Redskin Fan....

A lady walked into a local sports bar with a dachshund under her arm. The dog is wearing a "Washington Redskin" jersey and helmet, and is festooned with "Redskin" pom-poms. The bartender says, "Hey! No pets are allowed in here! You'll have to leave!"

The lady begs him, "Look, I'm desperate. We're both BIG Skins fans, the TV is broken, and this is the only place around where we can see the game!"

After securing a promise that the dog will behave and warning her that both she and the dog will be thrown out if there's any trouble, the bartender relents. Shaking his head at what a softy he is, the bartender decides to allow them to stay in the bar and watch the game.

The big game begins with the Redskins receiving the kickoff. They march down field, get stopped at about the 30, and kick a field goal. With that, the dog jumps up on the bar, does a few flips, and begins waltzing up and down the bar giving high-fives to everyone.

The bartender is very impressed and says, "Wow, that is the most amazing thing I've ever seen! What does the dog do if they score a touchdown?"

The lady replies, "I don't know, I've only had him for four years."

26. Arrogant jackasses
They always had an excuse when they lost
"The better team didn't win"
The only time they admitted reality was after the 44-0 Chicago Bears game. Tom Landry, when asked what he considered the turning point of the game, said "The opening kick-off"

27. Nate Newton
It's late in the fourth, 'Boys driving for the winning score at the Meadowlands -- but they're out of time outs. They complete a pass downfield -- but in bounds, so the clock keeps rolling. The Cowboys hustle downfield to line up at scrimmage - all except Nate Newton, whose 320-pound carcass lumbers downfield at least five full yards behind the rest of the team as the crowd counts down, "Five, four, three, two, one, YAAAYYYYYYY!" Giants win. True story.

41. staubach, he's the guy who was QB when they are fun to watch
until montana came along, staubach is the guy who i would want playing quarterback when down 6 points, 2:00 left on the clock and the ball at the teams own 20 yard line.

the guy was a winner, and since i have met him on occasion, a nice guy too.
