1. Nope, but June 29th, 1912 was covered by "Somewhere In Time".
Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour.

Lot of human beauty in that flick! B-)

2. Would that be the mutiny aboard the Russian battleship "Potemkin"?
Edited on Wed Jun-29-05 08:31 PM by Spider Jerusalem
The Odessa Steps sequence is one of my favourite scenes from a film...amazing how much Eisenstein contributed to the visual art of cinema.

EDIT: Well, I was close. Google tells me I was only off by two days (the "Potemkin" mutiny occured 27 June 1905).

8. Graham didn't play in the WS. His was a totally different storyline.
Much like the storyline about the father.

Here are Grahams stats for that game.....

9. Right, I see. I remember. He didn't get to bat.
He played, but didn't bat.

So, today was the day he played?

10. *ding ding ding* we have a winner
Archie played his first and last and only game 100 years ago today. No at bats.

From the movie: "Son, if I had only been a doctor for 5 minutes, now that would have been a tragedy"

17. Yeah, it was a really great story.
He wove together the story of the real Doc Graham and the movie. He really was a phenomenal person, and totally loved by the people in Chisholm, MN.
