It's about the only book I've ever read that I had to put down for a few days because I was so emotionally overwhelmed. It was a real heart-ripper.

Must have been a difficult role to prepare for. I don't know much German, but what I heard of German's speaking it when I was stationed over there. Her German sounded no different. The Polish, I can't really speak for. She did a great job on the accent as well. An oscar well deserved.
