American Canyon city workers are looking for someone missing a century-old tombstone.
Last week, while clearing brush on the Clark Ranch property, workers uncovered a grave marker, roughly four feet high. It has the names of deceased members of the Joseph family carved on each side, seven individuals in all.
The earliest name on the stone is "Wm. Joseph" whose dates of birth and death are April 14, 1820, and Oct. 22, 1892.
Esther Joseph, whose name appears beneath William and was presumably his wife, was born Sept. 20, 1842, but all that can be read of her date of demise is "July 3 19-."
