I can't Friggin' believe it. My daughter ran into Al Gore last night in SF at the Comedy Club.
She went to a Dave Chappelle show. DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT. I WISH I HAD GONE!!
She said he was sitting in a corner (Club holds about 60 people) with a few people. He was quite gracious - stood up and shook their hands and chatted a bit. Dave Chappelle also brought Chris Tucker onstage as well. She was at the table front and center (11:30 PM show) - the show ended at approximately 3 AM.
Dave Chappelle made several references to Al Gore and called him Mr. President a few times. The place was rocking. My daughter said it was one of the best nights of her life EVER!!
They all chanted "Gore '08"! Sob - I wish I had been there.
:applause: :patriot:

You're right - they were so fortunate to meet him. Chappelle said that "Bush is always touted as the man you can sit down and have a beer with - but look who is actually here with us drinking tonight"!!
Cheers!

9. That girl always seems to run into everybody. Must have been born |
|
under a lucky star. She did arrange a meeting for me last year to meet one of my heart-throbs - Smokey Robinson. Boy that guy can give some good hugs.
Sigh! She's a good daughter, she is!!

5. Chapelle's back in the US? |
|
Damn, that's GREAT news! Oh, and good to hear Gore was there, too!
IIRC one of his daughters used to write for "Futurama". I've heard that he has a very good sense of humor, in person. It's too bad the handlers made him look so wooden in 2000...

No - not a jealous bone in this body!
:banghead:
She has applied to work for the Cable show that will be premiering sometime in SF - all Political station. I asked her if she mentioned it to him and she said: "Mom - he doesn't work in HR!" - but she said she re-submitted her resume once again today.
