Why not have that little capitalistic red turd Elmo do the veggie dance instead? Make cookie monster an overweight outcast... the toddlers won't care if it's larger than the Gpodyear Blimp(tm), the fact nobody likes CM would be enough... (until the toddlers got to the lunchroom with all the sweet desserts, that is...)

Look, Sesame Street has always used Cookie Monster to teach kids to eat right. Back in 1980 when I was three I can remember skits where they were making him eat broccoli and carrots instead of his beloved cookies. That's the whole reason Cookie Monster exists. Now they're just putting more emphasis on it. Maybe if parents today weren't feeding their crumbsnatchers Ding Dongs and Jolt cola for breakfast, lunch and dinner Sesame Street wouldn't have too.
