...of the "Will Howard Dean become the 44th President of the United States in 2004?" poll. Lets counterfreep this to the extreme before they change the question of the day.

8. I really enjoyed the "facts liberals won't tell you"
Edited on Tue Nov-04-03 03:43 PM by Nailzberg
What a crock. The entire earth's population could live in an area the size of texas with each family of four allotted 1/8 of an acre.

This is thier overpopulation denial?

World Population - approx 6,379,000,000
Texas acreage - 171,151,729.

6,379,000,000 divided by 171,151,729 is 37.27 persons per acre.
37.27/8 is 4.65 persons per 1/8 acre.

So we're overcrowded by thier figures already.

Now, let's examine that all those people need FOOD, WATER RECLAMATION, ENERGY PRODUCTION, WASTE FACILITIES, among many other space taking services, and all of a sudden, we have a major space problem.

Man, I hate debunking freeper logic. My brain hurts.

9. My favorite was...
Intersting* Facts That Liberals Hate: The phrase "separation of church and state" is not written anywhere in our Constitution.

I've met plenty of conservatives who do think the phrase is in our Constitution, but I haven't met any liberals who were under that impression! This has never surprised me, as liberals tend to make the effort to actually learn the facts.

*Interesting way to spell that, by the way.

12. We liberals are well aware it comes from
Jefferson's Wall of Separation.

"I contemplate with solemn reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church and State"

Which is how the SCOTUS has interpreted the First Amendment for over 200 years now.
A separation of church and state must exist not because the actual phrase exists, but because it has been established as existing as a requirement of the amendment.
The text begs the definition.
