Backhanded Compliment?

I work with people with mental retardation. We have a woman here, about mid-thirties. Every day when she sees me she says "Bunnyj, (not my real name)you're beautiful. Compared to nothing."

It cracks me up every time cause I'm not sure how to interpret it. Am I so ugly that I'm only beautiful when you compare me to nothing? Or, am I so beautiful that nothing can compare to it? You be the judge...

Anyway, it's always good for a chuckle. :)

If she's intending to compliment you... then she will be complimented in return. If she's insulting you purposely... then she gets a dose of her own.
