8. I remember
watching a video of this extremely rare carnivorous plant that lives on some greek islands I think.

Anyway, every so often it will start expelling this awful carrion-like stench. It draws the attention of hundreds of flies all trying to plant their eggs on the "dead flesh". Well the plant is shaped like a vase of sorts, so when all these flies are inside, it just closes its neck and digests all the flies.

Evolutionary brilliance.

7. Is the Entire Bog Carniverous?
or just some of the plants? Are you also building a petting zoo to have something to feed the bog?

12. Mostly
It's not a large garden; just a 22" diameter planter. I'm going to have several different sarracenia (american pitcher plant) species in it: S. purpurea ssp venosa, S. flava, S. leukophylla, S. alata, S. minor.

I'll also have a few drosera (sundew) species in it: D. capensis, D. binata, D. filiforma.

All of these will do very well outdoors year-round in Houston. I'm also toying with adding a few venus flytraps to the garden, but I'd need to keep them in a seperate small planter that I can refrigerate for 3 months in winter for their dormancy period.

I'm also going to add some non-carnivorous bog grasses and flowers to make the planter look more natural, and to provide stabilisation for some of the taller sarracenia trumpets.

13. Get a man-eating tree from Madagascar.
Good luck getting it through customs, however; they've got a regulation about dangerous animals, and it may extend to plants, as well.
