I met Molly Ivins Saturday and am protesting today-ask me anything!!!
Wow. A heck of a week! Thursday saw the Wall Street Journal article about Hospital collections and the work I did to challenge local hospital property tax exemptions due to both collection practices and a lack of charity care. Friday was my favorite holiday of the year. Saturday I met Molly Ivins at the Eugene V. Debs dinner in Terre Haute, Indiana, and today I'm going to a "Recall Bush" rally where my husband will be speaking.

I'm having the time of my life!!

Go ahead--ask me anything!

2. There is one man who can't remember where he was that day.
And his name is Daddy Bush...

It happened in Texas for a reason!!!

4. Saw Brother Bear with our six year old.
She got real bummed that the little bear's mom died and had to sit in my lap...

We did go out to dinner after-so that was exciting! I didn't have to cook!

6. It is an Impeach Bush rally today.
Molly was amazing. Imagine sitting in a room full of labor leaders and socialists and then imagine hearing Molly talk about shrub--it was energizing to say the least!

Today's event is organized by the College Dems and they invited my husband to speak about labor issues and why shrub sucks... I have to duck out now to go and raise some more hell!

7. OMG, you met Molly?
May I touch you. You are so lucky. I have been an avid fan of Mollys since I lived in Texas and was first introduced to her column.

9. Opi! Good to see you, man!
Yeah, meeting her was most definitely a high point for me!

I swear to gawd that in the last year there have been times when she kept me sane. I'd get up and think, "Naw, I must've dreamed that--" and then I'd pick up a newspaper and realize it had happened. Every time I read one of her columns it makes me feel like maybe I'm not going nuts--things really are screwed up, and someobdy else sees it too.

I'm really looking forward to the days when I can read her columns and find out about the "Ledge" there in Texas--and THAT is as bad as it gets. (Not that I wish any bad luck to the Texas Dems, mind you...) I told her that and she looked at me and said, "Well, you are just gonna have to raise more hell now, aren't you!" I almost swooned!
