Have you ever heard that tune? I'm afraid that it's not about weather, though. Has more to do with a state of mind.

35. Zombybutt!
It's a great song.

Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out alone
Riders on the storm

There's a killer on the road
His brain is squirmin' like a toad
Take a long holiday
Let your children play
If ya give this man a ride
Sweet memory will die
Killer on the road, yeah

Girl, ya gotta love your man
Girl, ya gotta love your man
Take him by the hand
Make him understand
The world on you depends
Our life will never end
Gotta love your man, yeah

Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out alone
Riders on the storm

Good to see ya! :hi:

22. "Follow the Sun"- The Beatles
One day, you値l look
To see I致e gone.
But tomorrow may rain, so I値l follow the sun.
Someday, you値l know
I was the one.
But tomorrow may rain, so I値l follow the sun.

And now the time has come,
And so, my love, I must go.
And though I loose a friend,
In the end you will know.

One day, you値l find
That I have gone.
But tomorrow may rain, so I値l follow the sun.

But tomorrow may rain, so I値l follow the sun.

I love T-Bone Walker. I have a video of him and other blues artists playing in Germany in the early 1960s, and he is playing behind his back, over his head

Methinks he influenced a lot of rock performers. Charlie Patton did that stuff too, but in the Delta in the 20s and 30s

65. Looks Like Rain - Bob Wier
Looks Like Rain
Lyrics: John Barlow
Music: Bob Weir

I woke today, and felt your side of bed
The covers were still warm where you'd been layin'
You were gone: my heart was filled with dread
You might not be sleeping here again

It's all right, 'cause I love you; and that's not gonna change
Run me round, make me hurt again and again
But I'll still sing you love songs, written in the letters of your name
And brave the storm to come, for it surely looks like rain

Did you ever listen to the sound of street cats making love
And guess from their cries you were listening to a fight
Well you know, hate's just the last thing they're thinking of
They're only trying to make it through the night

I only want to hold, I don't want to tie you down
Or fence you in the lines I might have drawn
It's just that I have gotten used to having you around
My landscape would be empty if you were gone

It's all right, 'cause I love you; and that's not gonna change
Run me round, make me hurt again and again
But I'll still sing you love songs, written in the letters of your name
And brave the storm to come, for it surely looks like rain

86. "Weather With You" - Crowded House
Walking 'round the room singing Stormy Weather
At Fifty Seven Mount Pleasant Street
Well it's the same room but everything's different
You can fight the sleep but not the dream

Things ain't cookin' in my kitchen
Strange affliction wash over me
Julius Caesar and the Roman Empire
Couldn't conquer the blue sky

Well there's a small boat made of china
It's going nowhere on the mantlepiece
Well do I lie like a loungeroom lizard
Or do I sing like a bird released

Everywhere you go you always take the weather with you
Everywhere you go you always take the weather
Everywhere you go you always take the weather with you
Everywhere you go you always take the weather, the weather with you

89. Four Seasons in One Day- Crowded House
Edited on Wed Jul-06-05 11:15 PM by grace0418
Take that Finnfan! ;)

Four seasons in one day
Lying in the depths of your imagination
Worlds above and worlds below
The sun shines on the black clouds
Hanging over the domain
Even when you're feeling warm
The temperature could drop away
Like four seasons in one day
Smiling as the shit comes down
You can tell a man from what he has to say
Everything gets turned around
And I will risk my neck again
You can take me where you will
Up the creek and through the mill
Like all the things you can't explain
Four seasons in one day

CHORUS
Blood dries up
Like rain, like rain
Fills my cup
Like four seasons in one day

It doesn't pay to make predictions
Sleeping on an unmade bed
Finding out wherever there is comfort
There is pain
Only one step away
Like four seasons in one day

Chorus

91. Kentucky Rain by Elvis
However, I believe this song was written by the late Eddie Rabbitt. It's one of my favorites.

94. Also "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain," "Early Morning Rain," and Dylan's
"Blowing In The Wind" (in a 1966 home recording). That's all that leaps to mind right now.

Oh: the blues "When It Rains, It Really Pours," the last track recorded at Sun Records, in 1955, rerecorded at RCA in 1957. And "Inherit The Wind," from the '69 Memphis sessions.

Yep, Eddie Rabbitt wrote "Kentucky Rain" and a few others for Elvis ("Patch It Up" was one). Mac Davis wrote some around the same time period (including "In The Ghetto," "Don't Cry, Daddy," "Clean Up Your Own Back Yard," and "A Little Less Conversation").

95. Stormy (seems appropriate) by Classics IV
You were the sunshine, baby, whenever you smiled
But I call you Stormy today
All of a sudden that ole rain's fallin' down
And my world is cloudy and gray
You've gone away
Oh Stormy, oh Stormy
Bring back that sunny day

Yesterday's love was like a warm summer breeze
But, like the weather ya changed
Now things are dreary, baby
And it's windy and cold
And I stand alone in the rain
Callin' your name
Oh Stormy, oh Stormy
Bring back that sunny day

Oh Stormy, oh Stormy
Bring back that sunny day

Bring back that sunny day

Oh Stormy,

Oh Stormy
