MUST READ: Joseph Wilson's "The Politics of Truth"
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/078671378X/qid=1120703067/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/002-6901016-0092040

Ok, this book definitely is a must read for anyone following the Valerie Plame story because Valerie is Joseph Wilson's wife and he discusses about the whole Niger Yellow Cake/Wife's name being leaked issue in the book.

But what is really great about this book is it is NOT a single issue just about his wife. Joseph Wilson has been a lifelong US diplomat and he talks about his service to the United States including his time as Deputy Ambassador in Iraq right before the first Gulf War. Right up to the war, the main ambassador had left Iraq and couldn't get back in and Wilson was the main contact between the US and Iraq prior to the war. Also Wilson takes you through a wonderful journey of Western Africa when he served time in several Western Africa countries including Niger, Gabon and Sao Tome and Principe.

I've made it a point to help support some of the great writers who have going out on a limb to present the case against Bush, but a few times I've found the books to be dry and tedious. Joseph Wilson's book was a great read from start to finish because he really did take you inside the world of a career diplomat along with discussing a hot topic issue of his wife being outed a CIA operative.

Since the book has been out for over a year, it is now available in paperback for those who are more cost conscious or check out your local library to see if it is available
