I volunteer for our local Dem party and a pet rescue group. They keep me busy enough that I don't get very bored.

I prefer the Thursday pm through Sunday am bender. I miss less work that way.
Anyway, find a nice sleazy bar after lunch on Thursday (The Mutiny on Western is a good place to start) and start getting drunk. Play some pool, play cards with the barmaid, etc.) Find a sleazier place for nighttime actvities. Wake up the next two days and repeat. Sleep with someone who you would not even speak to generally.
The self-loathing a good bender creates a good level of fear that will keep you going for two or three months.
Also - this is important - KEEP YOUR CREDIT CARDS AT HOME. Keep just enough in your checking account that you can afford to spend. When your debit cards punks out, it is time to go home.

Dunno about the sleeping part as I'm as lonely (and pathetic!) as Arnold Rimmer... but the rest sounds like fun and pool is great fun...

One more thing...do not call ex-girlfriends up mid-bender. Trust me on this.
