Most of Florida, looks like we dodged one! |

But I feel sorry for the folks up around Pensacola, and Mobile, AL.
The latest projections are putting Dennis up around the Panhandle, Miss, and AL area. But, I trust these projections like I trust my dogs with a t-bone on the living room floor.
Supposedly, the wind field won't touch us in the Tampa Bay area, but it's still 5 days out, and I ain't believing it! I studied a lot of meteorolgy for my pilots license, and instinct tells me that if that high pressure zone weakens just a bit or moves slightly to the east, we're fucked, and it'll move right up the coast.
Hold your breath until Sunday. But, you're allowed to breath between drinks.

I live on the east coast, and I can't count the times we've been told that we were about to be hit, only for the track to change, sometimes dramatically.
But if it gets into the Gulf, its going to land somewhere.

3. Remember Jeanne. She did a 270 degree turn to hit Florida. |

And I think Ivan even came back after he left Florida.

4. Oh, I remember Jeanne just fine |

She took off all the solar panels off my roof, and knocked the fence down. Also blew all the screens out of my pool. But at the time I thought the whole cage was coming down.
