8. I lived in Sandusky, OH for a year

My mother moved there after my parents divorced. We lived in downtown Sandusky in an apartment over a business. This was before I was even in kindergarten, but I remember walking down the street in Sandusky and catching the fairy boat to one of the Lake Erie islands.
We soon moved back to our home town. My mother hired someone to watch us while she was at work . This was already a financial hardship for her, but then she had problems with this woman who did not get along with my unruly sister. Then we were babysat by our extended family.
I went to Cedar Point often even when I didn't live in Sandusky. We weren't too far away.
