I just walked outside, and it feels like hell
it's only 4pm and the heat index is 104 here...no rain for weeks and none in the forcast....it's only going to get hotter. Summer has just begun for us here and it will be at least 2 months before it starts to cool off. My only consolation is that I dont live in Larado!

1. It is hell!
I live north of Houston, and it hasn't rained at my house since literally June 1st. I garden and my plants are suffering, even though I water every day. Don't even mention my water bill.

But, joy of joy! I can see rain clouds outside my window! Woo Hoo!

Probably just a tease...

2. I know! It's a sweltering 70 degrees here in Seattle...
but it's a dry heat...until of course it rains in an hour or so.

3. Whew! 81 degrees here. Nice breeze though. Goin' to the beach..
...after work. A little swim, a little people-watching. Killing time watching the waves go by.

S'posed to hit 90-something by the weekend here, though. So I won't get too cocky.

8. It does
It isn't as hot here on the coast but the heat index was 110 at least. My a/c cannot cool my apartment below about 80 degrees. The unit sits directly in the afternoon sun so it runs all the time but can't cool much until the sun goes down a little. Usually I am not here then but I am on vacation this week so I am "forced" to go to the pool to cool off.
