All I can say is that my life is pretty plain

I like watchin' the puddles gather rain

And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
But it's not sane, It's not sane

I just want someone to say to me oh,oh, oh, oh
I'll always be there when you wake
Ya know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and I'll have it made

And I don't understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that there's no rain

And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away, but it's a great escape
escape......escape......escape......

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
ya don't like my point of view
ya think I'm insane
Its not sane......it's not sane.

I just want someone to say to me oh, oh, oh
I'll always be there when you wake
Ya know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and I'll have it made

5. It reminds me of a time when the world seemed less insane.
When we were not ruled by insane people. Creates a sense of longing in me.

7. Unfortunately
The 90s is a lost decade for me. I was not aware of political happenings back then. I don't even think that I watched the news. I was just caught up in the drama that was my life.

8. The 90s kicked ass for me, It felt like you did not worry about
news shit as you do today. Outside world seems much less secure. If you were younger in school that might explain you feeling -I felt the same way you do about the eighties.

4. I remember the year that song came out...
...I asked a friend what I should dress as for our Halloween party, and she said, "A Blind Melon bumblebee!" I didn't have the balls to do it. Probably a good choice.
