some people charging as much as $2.80 for a gallon of gas.

9. It's oligopoly technically
Multiple companies are working in tandem to raise prices, while Chimpy and Co. pretends gas prices aren't even an issue.

7. I don't think it just has to do with Florida or a storm...
...here in Maple Valley (Washington state), gas shot up from $2.39 to $2.45 within a few hours of the London attacks. Profiteering will use any justification. :grr:

their state attorney was on.

they have a website set up and a phone number to report abuse.

8. It's all about money...
As a 'society' or even in spirit, most people are neanderthal-era cavemen with bigger toys to protect.

When resources dwindle, I dare say most of the population would start scratching, punching, and shooting to get what they think they need... before someone else does the same to them.

Oh well.
