19. Ah...fuck it then.
Just kidding.

Actually, SouthoftheBorderPaul bought an Epiphone e5 copy (The, no shit, "Noel Gallagher signature model") for about 600 dollars, and has spent more than twice that just to make it playable....the fucking thing just REFUSED to stay in tune, and the pickups, at first, were muddy.

Everyone I know who's bought an Epi instead of a Gibson has told me horror stories, but they've also held onto their axes.

24. I have never had any problems with it
it is actually a first rate axe. It stays in tune through anything.

I get an excellent tone out of those humbuckers and my Fender amp and "Blues Driver" pedal (only pedal I ever use---it is a light distortion pedal--sounds like 60s rock distortion rather than thrash metal distortion)

The problem is that he bought a Noel Gallagher guitar. It was probably cursed

157. Add mine to that list.
My Epiphone Les Paul is also first rate. I've never had a single problem with it, and it sounds great. In fact, I take it once or twice a year to a professional to give it a "physical", and every single time, when I go to pick it up, they tell me it's a great guitar. And, I can tell they were surprised.

44. Oh no you didn't!
I am a huge fan of the Jazz Chorus amp. I am actually a guitarist, I was just in that band because they needed a bassist, but I use a Jazz Chorus because it is just so incredibly clean. One could play it in a hospital it is so clean. I don't know, that just appeals to me for some reason. If it is good enough for Robert Fripp, it is good enough for me, though I guess most people like more "grit" in their tone.

I guess I see what you mean by me not looking like an ELP fan there. The shorts and hat don't really match, but I think I am wearing a King Crimson shirt there.
It is a shame that ELP hasn't really aged all that well. Everything they did since Works Volume 1 has basically been awful, so they aren't picking up new fans in the way that Yes and Jethro Tull are to a small extent, and Pink Floyd obviously is.

56. Here's how.
Register a free account at www.photobucket.com

Then, after you log in for the first time at photobucket, you can search your hard drive and select which photos you want to upload to photobucket. Each image you've uploaded to photobucket will have a field below the picture with the IMG tags. Just select and copy the information in that field, and paste it into a reply window at DU.

For my money, "misunderestimator" really gives the verse some bounce.

I should have thrown in some Italian, I suppose, in further tribute to your pulchritude. Maybe some little Porgi, amor, qualche ristoro, something like that.

105. Aw, I just have some good taste, right? : )
Every time I listen to the opera, it doesn't matter what my mood is or what's going on in the world, every time I play the wedding march my heart feels like it's expanding. My father also has a cd of it, but for some reason his version of the wedding march is shortened. It's the most joyous piece of music I've ever heard.

I think the saddest but most beautiful is the second movement of Beethoven's Seventh Symphony. That's the total embodiment of poignance and tragedy.

There I go again, getting all carried away on a picture thread!

As long as anyone is still awake by then, four hours later :) I remember many times on stage being carried away emotionally by the sheer beauty of the music... it was difficult to pull back and continue singing sometimes, what with that lump in the throat and all :). Mozart wrote some pretty perfect music (as did Beethoven... I always wanted to do Fidelio on stage... never happened).

I was thinking of smoked turkey on thick-cut sourdough bread, with thousand-island dressing, a little pepper, sprouts to absorb dressing, lettuce, bacon, provolone cheese, avacado, and thinly-sliced onions, and a daub of vinegraitte.

And that's what I'm thinking of right now, young rapscallion. ;)

130. Why not?
It's been a long day, and fluff is good.

I don't have anything new. I have this extreme closeup that proves once and for all that I actually do look my age.

For those interested, it was cropped from this picture.

151. LOL!
I wish, I'm not quite that brave. That's from about 1992. I'm more likely to wear Dolce and Gabbana on stage now. But stay tuned for the upcoming album release party announcement, coming sometime this year!

167. Not sure about the soul patch, but I did have one back then
but yes, cuffed jeans, white socks, and black penny loafers.

In new home studio, btw. Not completely wired or built yet, but fairly comfy. Plus, it's at my mother's house (rent-free), so who am I to complain? :)
