Shopping carts vs. handbaskets?
I always prefer handbaskets instead of shopping carts when I have to buy groceries. The portability factor is very important to me. And, I can maneuver quite effectively between people and the displays. Another plus: I can get out quicker and more inexpensively when I must limit my purchases. (Note: this is at the local market, I always use a cart at Costco.) :-)

What about you? What's your preference?

:D

2. The basket, for a very simple reason:
I know that whatever I buy, I have to carry home. If it doesn't fit in a basket, it's probably not going to happen.

3. handbasket
If I use a cart, I buy way too much. And we usually only go shopping for 1-2 days worth of food at a time anyways. :)

4. I like a cart because I find
the handbaskets awkward to hold. At my favorite market, they actually have two sizes of carts. One is standard and the other is a smaller version that is really easy to get through the store with. Thank you for taking my mind of the news!

6. cart, always. I can go into the store for a banana but then
I might rememberI need some cat litter and cart really helps. Also I like to get the purse strap off my shoulder and I always put it in the kid seat.

7. As a single person I always preferred the handbasket...
...however, grocery shopping is quickly becoming a joint venture between myself and my girlfriend, which means that I push the cart and she fills it. Just another example of my single-manhood slipping through my fingers. *sigh*
