13. The beauty of truth...

Thanks you for sharing your blog entry. I have been trying and trying to understand why the ones who slandered and savaged Andy did what they did. I have no answer, except that some people, like Andy, live to do what is good, and right, and some live to destroy, and tear down.

I believe that these vile people know that they are too mean spirited to ever try to make sure that our votes are fairly counted, and want only to win, even if it's a sham, false win. Andy tried to change things, and they are too corrupt to change, and find it easier to throw mud and hatred.

Andy was loved, and will always be remembered by so many of us. He was one of the good ones; we can ill afford his loss, and so I, as well as so many others, have a burning hatred of the ones who made his last days hell. Let them try to enjoy their warped victory, because it will mean that their voices and actions will be seen as what they truly are...hateful rantings from people who would rather destroy something good, rather than do something good themselves.

Rest in peace now, Andy, and we will carry on the fight in your name, and in honor of your memory.

I was struck by how personal the attack was. It's one thing to ridicule Bill Clinton or George Bush, but another thing for a group to take actions that may have cost somebody's life. It's not certain, if he could have survived or not, but purposefully delaying his treatment didn't help at all. That's hateful. I've never heard of anything that awful, and for what? I didn't know much about the situation until the last few days, and it's so evil that I'm just in shock.

I hope I never understand why people would do such a thing. I don't want to.
