Superballs! by Whammo!
Anybody remember Superballs which were made of zetron and went "boop boop" when you bounced them and they bounced really high in the air because they were like "space age"?

1. I sure do!
They certainly did bounce high! :-)

Vertually indestructable, also.

3. The only time I ever got kicked out of a mall..
A friend and I were throwing Superballs at a 40 foot high wall near the JCPenny's. It was amazingly fun to watch a Superball with free reign of a gigantic interior space. It goes forever!

4. What was best of all about them
was how you could learn so much about the effects of rotation and friction from the way they bounced. I used to make a game of throwing one of those big ones at a wall with as much spin as I could muster, then guessing where it would eventually bounce to so I could be there to catch it. It was virtually impossible. A kid who was several years older than me finally broke it when we stood out in the street taking turns to see who could spike it the hardest into the ground and make it bounce the highest. He gave it a good crank and it shattered into two unequal pieces on impact. I was so sad I went to my favorite neighbor's house to see if he had any kind of glue that would fix it. Needless to say, he didn't. :)

5. Absolutely!
I was a Superball freak. I bounced them suckers til they busted up into little tiny pieces. I know, they were virtually indestructible, but I managed to do it anyway. I remember that that distinctly, because I remember even the little Superball bits would bounce around like crazy.
