We just heard from my stepdaughter; she's back from England |

EDITED title for clarity
My stepdaughter is back home in California with her husband and two daughters, who are very glad to have her home.
Last week, she attended a conference on web design and technology at Oxford University, where she presented a paper. She was scheduled to be in London the day after the bombings. Fortunately, she was at Oxford that day.
That's good news for both my wife and me.

am very happy for you and her.
I attended school in Oxford and spent a lot of time in London walking past buildings that had sandbags behind their front walls during the IRA days. I was never afraid.
In youth of course, many have that indomitable spirit.
I'm glad she's safe and most likely had a great adventure.
