Philly: next Saturday, Underground Literary Alliance fest...
Many underground/DIY writers will be in town the weekend of Philly Zinefest-- including legendary author Jack Saunders with his new LitVision book, BUKOWSKI NEVER DID THIS. To help celebrate the gathering of the underground tribe, a Special Event-- combination Reading and Book Release party-- will be held at Philadelphia's famed underground rock club Medusa Lounge (21st at Chestnut; www.medusalounge.com) on Saturday, July 16th, starting at 5 p.m. or shortly thereafter. No cover.
Among those scheduled to appear are Jackie Corley, Frank Walsh, Wred Fright, Natalie Felix, Michael Grover, Ish Klein, Crazy Carl Robinson, Brady Russell, Pat Simonelli, George Balgobin, Sarah Scheckter, Shawn Terreri, Devin D'Andrea, Daniel Bolger, "The Student" and "The Masked Professor," and other talents local and national. The reading will be capped off by The Man himself, from Georgia by way of Florida, JACK SAUNDERS, author of 250-plus novels.
This event will be fast-moving and fun. ALL ARE WELCOME for the Lit Party of the Millennium as only undergrounders know how to do it.
We'll see you there.
