goddamn it - my weber grill is a piece of shit |
|
one year old and the fucker won't work.
i took the grill and baffles off, and the burner from which the gas flows was puttering out an impotent amount of gas that would go out as soon as i tried to turn on another one of the burners.
:wtf: the grill is only a year old!!! (and yes - i have a full tank of gas, so thats not the issue. My BBQ dinner is ruined and i dont even want to eat now.
If i see a Weber ad tonight, i may fucking snap!!!! :grr:

unhook the propane and propane accessories, and dump a bag of charcoal in the bottom of it. weber never improved on their original round kettle charcoal design.

4. You're not going to want to hear this... |

but I bought a Fiesta grill with the side burner--you know, the element on the side for cooking side dishes. I paid $80 dollars and it came with a propane tank.
It still lights off of the electric starter. It's a gem of a grill. And I got it for less than half price.

Gas grills don't last like they used to. I had a Weber last 10 years, the next one died in two -- little pinholes in the burner and all the "stainless steel" was rotting. I don't think anyone makes good gas burners anymore. We gave up and went to a charcoal fueled ceramic cooker. Great food, too.

6. It sounds like a clogged gas line. (spiderweb or some such) |
|
My Weber grill is three years old and I love it.
One other suggestion: turn off the gas tank and unscrew the hose from it (the plastic knob). There may or may not be a hiss. Hook the line back up, turn the tank on and try again...
