Does anyone watch Rescue Me on FX?
I really love watching Dennis Leary go down the drain for some reason.

7. I can't remember the town
but I love the way the show flows. It's got the same kind of feel that "Homicide" did only with firemen.

10. I loved Homicide!
I was so sad when it ended.

Yes, Rescue Me does have a similar feel, now that I think about it.

11. It was actually based off a book Homicide by David Simon it
is non fiction pretty much, but it gives a good insight into who he picked to use as characters. It is great because you get to see the real people behind them. Homicide was one of the best shows ever, it is on DVD now but wicked $$$

4. I've never been able to get into it.
I think it's well done, it's just never grabbed me the way "The Shield" has.

Having to wait until 2006 for the next season of "The Shield" sucks. A lot.

9. LOL! Now, see, I have a hard time
getting into The Shield.

Partly because they annoy the hell out of me with Sheild commercials in the middle of the Buffy reruns I watch. I can't imagine they think Buffy fans are Shield fans. :D

13. Rescue Me is the perfect replacement for the Shield...
On the Shield, the cops are trying to balance the reality with the street with the concept of American Justice. You can see that after three seasons, that battle is taking a major toll on all the people...

It is a great contrast between those who compromise to get results and those who get results without compromise......

Dutch and CCH Pounder refuse to play the way Mackey does and so there is friction between the two...

But they are moving ever so close to at least seeing the other for what they really are, embattled cops trying to do a job....

On Rescue Me, the firefighters are struggling to put 9/11 in it's proper perspective and trying to rebuild personal life's they have sacrificed for the Job.....
