|
Edited on Sun Jul-10-05 11:50 AM by rbnyc
Do you use netflix? I love it. I have 1 netflix friend, and I think it's a cool feature. Interested in being my netflix friend? I'm looking for someone with somewhat similar taste and interests.
Here's my netflix bio:
Dad woke me up in the middle of the night when I was 4 years old beacuase Night of the Living Dead was on TV. He said, "This is history." Enough said.
Here's the list of movies I've given 5 stars:
The City of Lost Children A Clockwork Orange Crumb Deliverance Excalibur The Last Emperor The Shining Videodrome The Exorcist The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Night of the Living Dead Fight Club Dead Man The Virgin Suicides The Dead Zone The Exorcist: Restored Version Dr. Strangelove Frailty Donnie Darko The Devil's Backbone Secretary The Ring The Station Agent Dawn of the Dead Fahrenheit 9/11 Shaun of the Dead Donnie Darko: Director's Cut Dead Ringers
Very into Japanese horror lately.
Thanks.

...is it that he's such a sweet-hearted idealist, he can't stand even a fictional account of violent revolution, or it it the subliminal penis?

Even though it's Chinese, not Japanese, have you seen The Eye? Some quality Asian horror right there.
And for some really good Japanese horror, check out Kwaidan. It's old, but really good. It's an anthology film of sorts - four separate Japanese ghost stories. Came out in '64. Was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar and won the Special Jury Prize at Cannes.
I added The Devil's Backbone to my Zip.ca queue just yesterday coincidentally. Seems like a good movie.

but I never have read on Netflix the thing about Netflix friends, so have no idea what they are or what they do, though I have seen it mentioned.

Just went there to check my queue. It's an odd mix of old TV shows, B-grade horror movies, music performances, and assorted other things. hehe

Too bad, you'd be an awesome netflix friend.
But I'm lucky to have you as an actual friend! So no complaints here.

The boy is wild! He has so much energy. He's learning to walk. (He'll be 10 months old on Wednesday.) He likes to see how loud he can make his voice go. He insists on feeding himself, and usually ends up with food in his eyebrows and behind his ears and in his diaper and of course, all over the floor. He loves the cats. He understands and responds appropriately to "Give me that, please." and "Come back here, please." He will always point to the circle among a group of shapes if you ask, "Which one's the circle." and he sleeps through the night about 1/3 of the time now. (This has been a HUGE problem.)
So he's basic ly wonderful.
Thanks!
