1. I tried it one time.
But for me, the taste of licorice is displeasing. So I stopped after my first shot.

I had friends of friends who were culinary students who made a batch with one of their teachers.

4. The Old Absinthe House
in New Orleans used to serve drinks using absinthe, but I think it's been banned (the liquor, not the bar). Something about brain rot, maybe?
