6. I don't know
the first time I saw MT was on PBS.

He has another show on Fine Living: Ming's Quest. He gets to be Action Man guy in that one: kayaking, rock climbing, etc.

He's very lovely to look at. ;-)

7. I think some chefs just run their course...or get tired of the grind.
Tony Bourdain is starting a new show on Travel Channel.

isn't he one of the judges on the PBS reality show 'cooking under fire'?
Edited on Sun Jul-10-05 03:47 PM by pmbryant
It's a fascinating show for anyone interested in cooking. I didn't realize he was a celebrity TV chef in other ways.

15. I love it
But that's just me. It's a prolonged job interview, eliminating one prospective chef at a time. Kind of like "The Apprentice" in form, I guess, though I never watched that show.

16. This dude used to date a good family friend back when we were in
high school/college years. Then he went to Yale, and we didn't hear anything from him for a while...

Then we heard he was living in Europe... Then learning to be a chef in Europe (I think France), and we were like... "good luck with that!"

Next thing I know, dude is on TV and has a restaurant in Wellesley MA that I've heard kicks major ass.

in high school.

19. In high school, Ming was kind of a Big Man on Campus type.
Good looking, athletic, smart, headed to Yale. Of course some of us hated him at least a little for all of that, but he was okay really.

If you watch King of the Hill, think in terms of the "perfect" Laotian boy that Khan is always trying to get his daughter to be interested in...
