8. I'm not sure about Charlize Theron as Aeon Flux.

But I see they got some of the uniqueness of the 'toon.

21. well ~ the B-side Band now has a groupie and I'm back home
after sitting in the shade drinking 3 peach long island ice teas and eating fried calamari all afternoon.

I'm not sure just how it happened but the band played on for an hour and a half beyond their original ending time. I thought they were finished at 6 *snap* bonus time:)

The base player is so totally rocks!

16. If you like the Aeon Flux 'toon
be sure to check out "Animatrix". It's a DVD with nine animated vignettes that provide some backstory and sidestories to "The Matrix" trilogy. Peter Chung, who did "Aeon Flux" for Liquid TV, did the short "Matriculated" for that DVD. You can see a lot of his style in that short. It's not the best short on the DVD, imho, but I still enjoyed it. :)

22. Me too. My favorite is "Beyond".
It's such a cool little slice-of-life story from the Matrix mythology. I guess it's a lot less cool when you consider that all of those likable characters were actually enslaved by machines, though. :(

...considering that "Spirited Away" nearly moves me to tears every time I see it, and I'm a 40-year old man!

33. The last scene always kills me...
...when Chihiro is reunited with her parents and they talk of moving to a new town and she says, "I think I'll be OK." It's cheesy, emotional, and it hits me straight in the heart like a sledgehammer everytime. Dammit!

37. i like the artwork big time...
but as is the case...sometimes, i think the animators found themselves in deep water & left out key cells so that for me the motion wasn't quite where it could have been which is easy for me to point out in that, in my job, i don't have to draw out thousands of works to render a fluid movement = kudos to they that do

...surreal feeling. Of course, the surreal story lines also helped to create that feeling...
