Any natural herbs (or ?) to use on a dog when he gets spooked by storms,
fireworks, etc.? Something to inhale or put on his tongue? Something really potent, for a really very hyper nervous dog. Thanks.

or The Vitamin Shoppe..can get it online.

I got the Anxiety Wrap for my German Shepherd and it has worked fantastically. Thunder storms terrify him. He would pant and pace endlessly. I now put this onhim at the first sign of a storm and it really works. He is much calmer. He is actually able to sleep thru the night when there is a storm. I recommend it very highly.

It is also supposed to work for dogs that are anxious about car rides. I have not tried tha tyet.

Here is a link.

2. Rescue Remedy
This herbal drop works for horses. Google Recue Remedy. It comes in a little bottle with a dropper.

7. Our first experience
With a new pom was a storm and we all suffered for hours through the middle of the night. She shook so bad that even allowing her on the bed only made the whole bed tremble. She seems to be aware of sounds long before we know of them. She seems to be able to even extend claws like a cat to hold on and climb! New Years Eve was another horror and again of course over the 4th. She does like her travel cage and seems to find more security there, and is quieter, and we put it next to us wherever we are. We are trying some calming liquid and pills but will check with Vet for anything stronger or more efficient.
I will try a wrap but sure will let everyone know about it if it does not work.
