4. If this is a serious question, he invented bebop
along with Dizzy Gillespie and a host of others. Considered by many the greatest alto player ever. Had a little problem with a monkey on his back, though. The Yardbirds were named after him. (I know, I know, "Who are the Yardbirds?")
