Don't you love it when all your old injuries flare up at ONCE? |
|
I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my right wrist and it started up BAD today, about four hours ago. I usually just try to rest my hand and ignore it and it eventually goes away.
But then about two hours ago, my TMJ on the right side flared up hard. Egads that shit hurts.
AND now of course my hip has to bother me from a car accident years ago. It hasn't bothered me in so long I can't remember when the last time was. (Really it's the pelvis--it was shattered and put back together.)
All three at once. Nice.
I'm only 35. WAAAY too young, IMO, to be feeling like this.
Oh well, off to take some OTC meds that won't work and then to bed. Goodnight lounge!

1. Weather change? Humidity? That will set off a flare of inflammation. |
|
Just have to ride it through and take something to cut off the chain of inflammation. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

4. I bet there's a weather change coming on. |
|
My right knee and left ankle have been aching all day long (cross country accident/incident) and my left hand has also been twinging (shattered it almost 20 years ago).
Lots of Motrin for you tonight! I've taken my share already.

6. We're supposed to get your rain |
|
right around the same time we are supposed to get the rain left over from Dennis in my neck of the woods. Should make a nasty midweek here. I predict tornado watches starting Monday night (the season has been too mellow here).

Maybe I can actually shut off the air for a day or so. I'm not looking forward to any tornado watches. It's been too mild this season. If we get hit again (we had an F1 about a month or so ago) then we'll probably get a good one. And I hate doing the clean up afterwards.

8. I know EXACTLY what you're talking about |
|
I was only 42 when I had my first knee replacement from arthritis-- but that was preceded by eight years of steadily worsening pain. (These days it's my hands, ankles, knees, hips, lower back and neck that tend to flare. Luckily it doesn't happen often, but when it does, it really sucks.)

9. My sinuses tell me when the barometer drops |
|
I might be in Houston, but I felt Dennis. Last night, my nose started pouring, head pounding. When I got up this morning, my drainage had caused a sore throat. I also had fluid in my ears to the extreme. Around the time they broke in to say the eye had made landfall, my head had been clear for about fifteen minutes.
I can predict an afternoon thunderstorm better than the weather guy!

It could be because all your nerves run throughout your body. Sometimes that happens and you get two pains at once in two parts of your body because of the nerves. Then, because you've had previous injuries, maybe those nerves are more succeptible to pain. That would be my amateur two cents, but since you also reference joint paint, I don't know if that would apply..
In any case, have a good rest and feel better, Bouncy Ball! :)
